My Vision:

Having a child who is atypical is a journey. You go through an emotional roller coaster  of denial and then acceptance, how to bond with your child, how your journey will be different with them, and what their life will be like. Being a special needs educator, as well as a mother living with a special needs child, has led to my calling to help others along this road. I have a unique perspective that can help families bond with their child optimally.

With my background in direct instruction, I am able to come to the comfort of you and your child’s familiar surroundings of your home, discuss what your child’s needs are and how you are coping.  We will work together, in a partnership to develop and grow a special bond between you and your child. The relationship between a typical sibling and his/her developmentally delayed sibling can often be challenging. We will work to find strategies to help your children play together. Direct instruction can happen in the classroom as well, for older children. It is important for the child to make that social connection within the classroom setting in order to play with his/her peers.

This is my guiding light Oliver, age 4.
